CERTELEC Ltd is an independent company of engineering consultants, environmentalists, designers & independant electrical inspectors providing a comprehensive service covering the areas of East and West Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey, Kent, London, Suffolk and Norfolk.

The culmination of 30 plus years consultancy experience in construction (Building Services) prompted the development of this independent consultancy, and specialist Inspection & Testing house by Professional Engineer and Chartered Environmentalist, Keith Simpson.

Our BSi Kitemark licence (British Standards Institution) is a much valued and guarded as testament to BSi's recognition of Certelec's technical competence; to undertake 'third party' Certification, i.e. certify ANY electrical contractor’s work. Additionally, to conduct PIR's (Periodic Inspection and testing) to BS7671:2008.We do not carry out remedial works, so our Clients can be assured an impartial and accurate report. We are also licensed, and fully accredited by BSi for commercial, industrial electrical Design, Inspection and Testing of electrical installations to BS7671:2008, and Emergency Lighting Design (Bsi/ICEL).

Our work is mainly on Low to Medium voltage systems. All our test engineers are trained to the high standards laid down by the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE/IET). Our staff have all obtained passes in the City & Guilds courses for Inspection & Testing and Portable Appliance Testing (PAT). All Certelec test engineers are required to pass our rigorous in-house training courses before starting an extensive field training programme with our Qualified Supervisor. Even when our engineers obtain the highest standards required by Certelec they will be constantly monitored for quality. Every year all our engineers sit a refresher course to ensure the latest specifications and standards are maintained, allowing us to pass on this high level of service to our clients.

We do not undertake electrical installation contracts so we avoid any conflicts of interest that might otherwise arise - we are therefore, able to guarantee complete independence and impartial reporting.
